Works well on macOS with DosBox 0.74-3-3
Run DosBox. "mount c ~/Downloads/SimCityC". "c:". Run 'PICK.BAT' to setup graphics and sound. For graphics choose "VGA 16 Color" and "SoundBlaster" or "SoundBlaster Pro 1" (same to my ear). The default, "SoundBlaster 16", has a sibilant cymbal sound that quickly becomes grating. Once you're in the game, press Option-Return to go full screen. Same to exit full screen.

Runs great on Win 10, Win NT , Inside of DOXBOX, a third party dos emmulator. I downloaded the .zip. But where is the manual or at least a keystroke cheat sheet. Also, short of restarting, can't exit the terrain editer mode.

A cult classic
I remember playing this decades ago on an Olivetti 286AT with CGA graphics. The game was a revolution back then and kept one glued to the screen for hours a day. I carefully built large cities, infrastructures and kept a good eye on the budget and taxes. It was so exciting to see that your city thrived after a while. Then you kept building and expanding.... until a disaster happened! Yes, SIM City is one of those cult classics from "back in the day".

Works brilliantly (better than the original edition)!
And this is mostly SimCity (1989) with a few tweaks (VGA & Sound Card)!
"A what and a what...?!"
If you're born late 90s/00s or later, the early 90s was very much like Remastering now! Except VGA and Sound Cards instead of 4K and Dolby 5.1! Get it? (:D)

DOS game of a byegone era
My machine played this (mostly) fine. It's choppy, but I can certainly play it within the browser. For better quality, download the zip, extract it to a folder and tweak values to suit your machine and setup.
The only issue I had with the browser version is that when I hit "T", the browser spawned a new tab as if I'd been holding down the Control key. Otherwise, the mouse pointer works, loading "Classic" tileset certainly works, and music plays.
